一、東莞理工學(xué)院簡(jiǎn)介 Overview of DGUT:
東莞理工學(xué)院是廣東省唯一省市共建新型高水平理工科大學(xué)示范校，廣東東莞的第一所公立普通本科院校，諾貝爾物理學(xué)獎(jiǎng)獲得者楊振寧博士任名譽(yù)校長(zhǎng)。學(xué)校于1990年籌辦，1992年4月成立，是教育部第一批“卓越工程師教育培養(yǎng)計(jì)劃”實(shí)施高校，躋身地方高校“第一方陣”。
Dongguan University of Technology (DGUT) is the only model university of novel high-level science and engineering jointly constructed by Guangdong Province and Dongguan City. It is the first public full-time regular university in Dongguan, and we are proud to have Dr. Chenning Yang, a Nobel Laureate in Physics, leading us as our Honorary President. Work on establishing DGUT commenced in 1990 and it was finally established in April 1992. DGUT was listed among the initial institutions for national “Outstanding Engineers Cultivation Project” and has risen to a level of being one among the “first-group” of local universities.
學(xué)校建立了以工學(xué)為重點(diǎn)，管理學(xué)、文學(xué)、理學(xué)、經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)、法學(xué)、教育學(xué)等多學(xué)科協(xié)調(diào)發(fā)展的學(xué)科專業(yè)體系。設(shè)有18個(gè)學(xué)院、58個(gè)本科專業(yè)，其中通信工程、軟件工程、社會(huì)工作、電子信息工程、機(jī)械設(shè)計(jì)制造及其自動(dòng)化、計(jì)算機(jī)科學(xué)與技術(shù)、應(yīng)用化學(xué)、能源與動(dòng)力工程、環(huán)境工程、工商管理10個(gè)專業(yè)入選首批國(guó)家級(jí)一流專業(yè)建設(shè)，工程管理、工業(yè)工程、漢語(yǔ)言文學(xué)、國(guó)際經(jīng)濟(jì)與貿(mào)易、人力資源管理5個(gè)專業(yè)入選廣東省一流專業(yè)建設(shè)點(diǎn)。
DGUT has established a unique discipline and major structure with engineering as the focus and coordinated development of management, literature, science, economics, law, education, and other disciplines. The university has 18 colleges and 58 undergraduate programs. Ten programs have been selected in the first batch of national first-class programs, they are: Communication Engineering, Software Engineering, Social Work, Electronic Information Engineering, Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation, Computer Science and Technology, Applied Chemistry, Energy and Power Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Business Administration. Five programs have been selected as first-class programs in Guangdong Province,they are Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering, Chinese Language and Literature, International Economy and Trade, and Human Resources Management.
學(xué)校現(xiàn)有松山湖、莞城兩個(gè)校區(qū)，共占地351英畝（含61英畝國(guó)際合作創(chuàng)新區(qū)）。有普通全日制在校學(xué)生近2萬(wàn)人，迄今為地方培養(yǎng)各類人才11.5萬(wàn)人，80%左右的畢業(yè)生留莞就業(yè)創(chuàng)業(yè)。自2016年5月開(kāi)始招收國(guó)際學(xué)生以來(lái)，累計(jì)招收來(lái)自40多個(gè)國(guó)家的各類國(guó)際學(xué)生達(dá)400余人次。
DGUT has two campuses, in Songshan Lake and Guancheng, covering a total area of 351 acres (including 61 acres of international collaboration and innovation zone). There are approximately 20,000 full-time students in the university and about 115,000 local students have been trained so far, with 80% of graduated worked or started their business in Dongguan. Since the recruitment of international students commenced in May 2016, a total of more than 400 international students from more than 40 countries have enrolled at DGUT.
二、東莞簡(jiǎn)介 Overview of Dongguan:
作為“粵港澳大灣區(qū)”先行者，東莞地處中國(guó)華南地區(qū)、廣東省中南部、珠江口東岸，西北接廣州市，南接深圳市，東北接惠州市，是珠三角中心城市之一、粵港澳大灣區(qū)城市之一，深圳都市圈城市之一、為“廣東四小虎”之首，是廣東重要的交通樞紐和外貿(mào)口岸。
As a pioneer in the “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area”, Dongguan is in South China, in south-central Guangdong Province, on the eastern coast of the Pearl River Estuary. It is located northwest of Guangzhou, south of Shenzhen, and northeast of Huizhou. It is one of the central cities in the Pearl River Delta, one of the cities in “the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area”, one of the Shenzhen Metropolitan Circle Cities, and is the first of “the four tigers in Guangdong”. It is an important transportation hub and foreign trade port in Guangdong.
東莞屬亞熱帶季風(fēng)氣候，日照充足，雨量充沛，年平均氣溫22.30 ℃，湖光山色、綠意盎然，森林覆蓋率達(dá)36.7%，林地綠化率達(dá)98.7%，是名不虛傳的國(guó)際花園城市。
Dongguan has a subtropical climate, with plenty of sunshine and rain, and an average temperature of 22.30 ℃. It is endowed with a spectacular landscape of lakes and mountains. With forest coverage of 36.7%, and 98.7% woodland greenery, it is truly an international garden city.
三、國(guó)際學(xué)生教育類型 Education Modes for International Students
1．碩士高等學(xué)歷教育 Master’s degree higher education
碩士高等學(xué)歷教育：包括學(xué)術(shù)學(xué)位和專業(yè)學(xué)位兩種類型，學(xué)習(xí)方式為全日制，學(xué)習(xí)期限為3年，每年9月初開(kāi)學(xué)。完成學(xué)校規(guī)定的培養(yǎng)要求、畢業(yè)論文通過(guò)答辯，可取得畢業(yè)證書，符合碩士學(xué)位授予條件者，授予學(xué)位證書。
Master’s degree higher education: Includes an academic degree and a professional degree. The mode of study is full-time. Students undergo a three-year study program, with the program starting each September. Students who complete the requirements specified by the University and pass the oral defense of their graduation thesis can obtain a diploma, and students who meet requirements for being awarded a master’s degree can obtain the master’s degree.
2.本科高等學(xué)歷教育 Undergraduate education with bachelor’s degree
本科學(xué)歷教育：學(xué)習(xí)方式為全日制，學(xué)習(xí)期限為4年，每年9月初開(kāi)學(xué)。完成教學(xué)方案規(guī)定的教學(xué)內(nèi)容、畢業(yè)論文通過(guò)答辯，可取得畢業(yè)證書，符合學(xué)士學(xué)位規(guī)定條件者，授予學(xué)位證書。
Undergraduate education with bachelor’s degree: The mode of study is full-time. Students undergo a four-year study program, with the program commencing each September. Students who complete the teaching modules specified in the teaching plan and pass the oral defense of their graduation thesis can obtain the diploma, and students who meet requirements for award of the bachelor’s degree can obtain the bachelor’s degree.
3．語(yǔ)言培訓(xùn) Language training
語(yǔ)言培訓(xùn)：每年3月和9月開(kāi)學(xué)，根據(jù)中文程度分班。
Language training: The term starts every March and September. Students are divided into different classes according to their Chinese language proficiency level.
4．短期語(yǔ)言與中國(guó)文化項(xiàng)目 Short-term Chinese language and culture project
短期語(yǔ)言與中國(guó)文化項(xiàng)目：通過(guò)短期強(qiáng)化訓(xùn)練使學(xué)生能夠完成一定量的交際任務(wù)項(xiàng)目的學(xué)習(xí)，掌握相應(yīng)的語(yǔ)言要素、言語(yǔ)技能和相關(guān)文化知識(shí)，提高其漢語(yǔ)交際能力。滿10人成班上課。
Short-term Chinese language and culture project: This education mode allows students to acquire a certain amount of communication ability and to master corresponding linguistic elements, language skills, and relevant cultural knowledge through intensive training within a short time. The aim of the project is to improve students’ Chinese communication ability. A class will be arranged if a minimum of 10 students enroll in the program.

五、入學(xué)條件、申請(qǐng)材料及流程 Entry Requirements, Application Materials, and Procedures
（一）入學(xué)條件 Entry Requirements
1. 基本條件：General Requirements:
（1）不具有中國(guó)國(guó)籍，持有效外國(guó)護(hù)照。 The applicant is not Chinese and has a valid foreign passport.
（2）身體健康，必須達(dá)到辦理來(lái)華學(xué)習(xí)簽證或居留證件的體檢標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。The applicant is in good health, and meets the health examination standards for applying for a student visa or residence permit in China.
（3）對(duì)華友好，勤奮好學(xué)，品行端正，遵紀(jì)守法，無(wú)違反校規(guī)校紀(jì)行為的記錄，尊重中國(guó)人民的風(fēng)俗習(xí)慣，無(wú)治安處罰，無(wú)犯罪記錄。The applicant is friendly to China, diligent and eager to learn, honest, law-abiding, has no record of violating school rules and regulations, respects the customs of Chinese people, and has no record of public security punishment or a criminal record.
（4）華裔學(xué)習(xí)背景要求父母雙方或一方為中國(guó)公民或從中國(guó)大陸（內(nèi)地）、香港、澳門和臺(tái)灣移民外國(guó)后取得外國(guó)國(guó)籍的，根據(jù)《教育部關(guān)于規(guī)范我高等學(xué)校接受國(guó)際學(xué)生有關(guān)工作的通知》（教外函〔2020〕12號(hào)），須入籍4年（含）以上，且最近4年之內(nèi)有在外國(guó)實(shí)際居住2年以上的記錄。If the applicant is an ethnic Chinese, and both or one parent of the applicant is a Chinese citizen or have acquired foreign nationality after emigration from Mainland China (Mainland), Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, he/she must have obtained the foreign nationality for more than 4 years (inclusive) and provide record of actually living in the foreign country for more than 2 years within the last 4 years according to the requirements of Circular of the Ministry of Education on Regulating the Recruitment of International Students by Chinese Institutions of Higher Education (〔2020〕 No. 12 Letter Issued by the Ministry of Education).

碩士學(xué)歷生Students pursuing postgraduate education with master’s degree	（一）來(lái)華攻讀碩士學(xué)位者，須具有與中國(guó)大學(xué)學(xué)士學(xué)位相當(dāng)?shù)膶W(xué)位。Those who come to China to pursue a master's degree must have a bachelor’s degree equivalent to that of a Chinese university. （二）語(yǔ)言水平Language level 申請(qǐng)中文授課專業(yè)，理工科類專業(yè)申請(qǐng)者的漢語(yǔ)言水平達(dá)到HSK四級(jí)180分（含）以上、文科類專業(yè)申請(qǐng)者達(dá)到HSK五級(jí)（含）以上，可以直接進(jìn)入專業(yè)學(xué)習(xí)。漢語(yǔ)水平未達(dá)到要求者可以申請(qǐng)漢語(yǔ)進(jìn)修，漢語(yǔ)水平達(dá)到學(xué)校要求后，再申請(qǐng)進(jìn)入專業(yè)學(xué)習(xí)。上一學(xué)歷教育階段使用漢語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)的申請(qǐng)人，須提交學(xué)校開(kāi)具的語(yǔ)言證明，經(jīng)我校認(rèn)定，可免除提供HSK成績(jī)。 If the applicant is applying for science and engineering majors taught in Chinese and has an HSK Level 4 of 180 or above, then the applicant may study the program directly. Those who do not reach the required level of Chinese language proficiency can apply for further study of Chinese language. Applicants can apply for professional study only after meeting the eligibility requirements. Applicants who have studied Chinese in an earlier academic period must submit the language certificate issued by the university, and the HSK scores will be exempted upon confirmation from our University. （三）獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金項(xiàng)目申請(qǐng)者，須符合各項(xiàng)目年齡要求。The applicant applying for scholarship must meet corresponding age requirements.
本科學(xué)歷生 Student pursuing undergraduate education with bachelor’s degree	（一）年齡在28周歲以內(nèi)。Under the age of 28. （二）來(lái)華攻讀本科學(xué)歷者，須具有與中國(guó)高中相當(dāng)?shù)漠厴I(yè)證書。 Those who come to China to study for a bachelor's degree must have a diploma equivalent to that of a Chinese high school. （三）語(yǔ)言水平 Language level 1. 中文授課專業(yè)漢語(yǔ)水平要求：需達(dá)到新HSK四級(jí)180分（含）以上；HSK成績(jī)未達(dá)到入學(xué)要求者，可先在國(guó)際學(xué)院學(xué)習(xí)漢語(yǔ)課程，獲得相應(yīng)的漢語(yǔ)水平等級(jí)證書可進(jìn)入專業(yè)學(xué)習(xí)。 1. Chinese language proficiency requirement for majors taught in Chinese: HSK Level 4 – 180 or above. Students who fail to meet HSK requirement are required to pursue Chinese courses at the International College, and then start professional learning after obtaining the Chinese language proficiency certificate. 2. 英文授課專業(yè)英語(yǔ)水平要求：母語(yǔ)非英語(yǔ)的英文授課項(xiàng)目申請(qǐng)者需提供英語(yǔ)水平證明，托福68（含）以上；雅思5.5（含）以上，或同等英語(yǔ)水平證書； 2. English language proficiency requirement for majors taught in English: IBT – 68 or above; IELTS – 5.5 or above (for students whose mother tongue is not English); or equivalent English language proficiency certificate.
語(yǔ)言培訓(xùn)生 Students for Language Training	漢語(yǔ)培訓(xùn)：高中畢業(yè)，年齡在18至50歲。 Chinese language training: Students who have passed at least high school, aged between 18 and 50 years.

3．住宿費(fèi) Accommodation Fee
學(xué)校擁有不同規(guī)格和條件的留學(xué)生公寓，各間宿舍都設(shè)有獨(dú)立的衛(wèi)生間、浴室和網(wǎng)絡(luò)終端（均為空調(diào)房），住宿費(fèi)5000元人民幣/床/人/年（雙人間）。
International student apartments of different sizes and specifications are available. All apartments are furnished with independent washroom, bathroom, and network terminal (all rooms have air conditioner). The accommodation fee is RMB 5,000/student/year (on a twin-sharing basis).
4. 醫(yī)療保險(xiǎn)費(fèi) Medical Insurance Premium
800元/年RMB 800/Year
5. 生活費(fèi) Living Expenses
約24,000元/年（根據(jù)個(gè)人實(shí)際情況而定），用于每天生活開(kāi)支，包括飲食、交通、通訊等。
Living expenses are approximately RMB 24,000/year (depends on actual requirement of each student). Expenses include daily costs for food, transportation, communication, etc.
6. 簽證費(fèi) Visa Fee
根據(jù)簽證時(shí)長(zhǎng)，約800元/年
